Welcome!

Our Purpose:

Through the Coulter Hampton Foundation, Inc. 'Coulter Hampton Day' will happen every year as a celebration of his life.  It will be a celebration of children and families.

Funds raised through the Coulter Hampton Foundation, Inc. will go towards helping other families that are suffering with Aplastic Anemia/Cancer/ or other childhood diseases.  Priority will be given to families in the Gordon County area.

The Foundation will also honor thoses organizations that helped Coulter and our family survive his illness.  These organizations include but are not limited to: The Lighthouse Family Retreat, Make a Wish, Org. ,  Coulter's Comforts, Achieve Learning Center, Fairmount Elementary School,  Aflac Cancer Center, and Cincinnati Childrens Hospital.

As an organization, on of the goals for the Coulter Hampton Foundation is to support families in the Gordon County area who are experiencing childhood illness.
The following children and their families have been selected as our adopted families for this year:

Sarah Williams

Check out Sarah's website:

Sarah's Mom wrote:

"Sarah was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma on February 23, 2005, after several weeks of intense pain and lethargy with no known cause. Her right hip had completely disintegrated, even though an X-ray taken in January was clear. She had a large tumor in her chest cavity, which wasn’t attached to any organs. She began chemotherapy the following week. She was unable to walk until July, when her hip had fused well enough to support her 40 pounds. She has had 6 rounds of chemotherapy, two surgeries, and 12 hospitalizations at TC Thomspon Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga. She had two surgeries, chemotherapy, and a stem cell transplant at Egleston in Atlanta. She is currently on her last therapy, which is Accutane, which we will complete in April. Right now she is well, is attending school for half-days, and greatly enjoyed our trip to San Diego which was sponsored by the Make-A-Wish foundation. Through God’s grace and healing, we are enjoying a sense of boring normalcy in our lives."

Jake is my sweet buddy from the clinic.  Our families got to know on another at the Lighthouse Family Retreat.  Jake has relapsed and is fighting his way through a two more years of chemo and radiation.  He's a fighter! We love you!

Cindy Villatoro

Cindy is a beautiful 5 year old girl who had leukemia.  She goes to TC Thompsons in Chattanooga, TN for her treatments.  Her family lives in the Sonoraville area here in Gordon Co.  Her parents are originally from Guatemala and are a joy to be around.  Cindy has two brothers that attend Fairmount Elem. School.  We recently had the priveledge of being with the family at the Lighthouse Family Retreat!

Tonnie Childers

Tonnie is a Gordon Cental HS student suffering from multiple medical issues.  She recieved a lot of support from her fellow students this year at Coulter Hampton Day 2006.....the band and the chorus donated their time and talents in her honor!

Ashton is 7 years old and attends Calhoun Elem. School.  His family has recently moved to the Fairmount/Sonoraville area, but kept the children in the same school to try to keep things as normal for the kids as possible.  Ashton has just recently relapsed with hodgkins lymphoma and is being treated at TC Thompsons and St. Jude.  He has an older sister and a younger brother.  As you can see from his picture he's quite a cutie.....

Green Dinosaur

I adopted Andruw S. from Hugs N Hope for his birthday.  Hugs and Hope is a not for profit organization that supports families with sick children through a letter writing campaign.  They also send gifts for birthdays and christmas.  Andruw S. is the second child we have helped through Hugs N Hope.

We are supporting the AFLAC cancer center where Coulter was treated by continuing to send bi monthly packages of toys for "Coulter's Yellow Box" in the infusion area, and by supplying blankets to inpatient children on the Aflac floor of the hospital.
