On Saturday Aug 15th, a fundraiser/benefit will be held at the Oostanaula Communty Center for little Ella Grace Cochran, who was featured on the front page of the Calhoun Times (June 13). Ella is 6 months old and lives with severe hydrocephalus as well as a severe seizure disorder. Proceeds from the benefit will go to the Ella Grace Cochran fund which will help fund the trip to Baltimore, maryland to Johns-Hopkins Children's Hospitial where Ella can be evaluated and hopefully treated by some of teh world's most skilled pediatric neurologist and neurosurgeons specializing in her condition. Dinner plates will be served beginning at 5pm and will be sold for $5. Music will be provided by Richie Parker. Guest speaker will be Rev. Greg Cater, former NFL Buffalo Bills punter. A cakewalk, auction, adn raffle will also be held. A raffle will also be held. Raffle tickets are being sold for a Marlin XL 270 Bolt action rifle with scope adn also a five night getaway to PePaws palace in the Smokey Mountains. Tickets are $5 each.
